About the Fushan Botanic garden

Fushan Botanical Garden is a part of TFRI’s Fushan Experimental Forest. It contains woody plants from Taiwan’s mid and low-elevation areas which are collected systematically and raised to provide for forestry research, teaching practice and environmental education as well as a means of source protection. The plants displayed are categorized using the Engler system and are divided into the following categories: gymnosperm, choripetal, gampetalous and bamboo. Another section is the special plant-use area which contains species which has particular useful properties. Additionally, there are water and herbal plant sections in which plants are categorized according to their ecological performance and life-form.
