About the Jardín Botánico El Charco del Ingenio

Located on land with different natural habitats, the Garden is mainly dedicated to the preservation of local and regional flora. It also contains an important collection of endangered plants from arid and semi-arid zones of Mexico, mainly cacti and succulents.
The Garden is run by a local non-profit organization called El Charco del Ingenio AC, which holds programmes of conservation, education and research, and works for the Garden's self sustainability in the long term.
