The regional focal points of our collections and research are Europe - including the Mediterranean Basin and the Caucasus - as well as Cuba and other islands of the Caribbean.

Taxonomically, we focus on the plant orders Asterales and Caryophyllales, including for example the daisy family and the bellflowers as well as the pink family and the cacti.
