About the Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden

The Des Moines Botanical Center is one of the most popular cultural attractions in Iowa, providing educational, recreational, and community resources to thousands. Its goal is to provide botanical displays and educational services for its visitors. It is located on 14 acres along the east bank of the Des Moines River, close to downtown.

Des Moines Botanical Center is reaching out to the community and beyond to educate and promote awareness of high level horticulture and environmental stewardship through; positive partnerships, education programs, opportunities for tourism, a quality venue for social events and meetings, unified grounds and unique horticulture collections.
