Are you keen to share your horticultural knowledge and inspire others to plan and plant their own gardens?

The Botanical Gardens Education Network (BGEN) are running a training day on Tuesday 14th May 2013 at the Durham University Botanic Garden entitled:

“Communicating Horticulture; how to teach essential skills and build capacity”

The programme will cover essential skills in demonstrating practical techniques and ensuring that people’s new-found interest and enthusiasm for horticulture will continue long after they’ve left the classroom.

Led by Laura Cohen and Susie Kelpie from the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh (RBGE) this training day will give a “taster” of the acclaimed RBGE Certificate in Practical Horticulture (endorsed by BGCI) and their Grow Your Own Veg. course.

Fees for the day are £60 for BGEN members or £88 for non-members and online members. This includes participation in the workshop, refreshments and a vegetarian lunch.

For more information download the full programme. Or if you’re already convinced, download the booking form now! Registration closes on Friday 26th April
