Congress website:

BGCI’s Education Congress will take place this year in Mexico City and will be hosted by UNAM Botanic Garden, a world renowned institute of excellence in plant conservation, education and ethnobotany. The main focus of the congress is Education and the GSPC. We will examine how gardens can address all 16 targets of the GSPC through education. We will also agree on a common set of messages for plant conservation. The congress will provide a vibrant forum for botanic garden educators as well as for educators and staff from plant science institutes, education and conservation organizations, zoos, museums, national parks and nature reserves.

If you are concerned about communicating the importance of plants and engaging people in action for plant conservation, please join us at what promises to be a stimulating international event. To find out more visit the Congress website which is now live! The website includes information on the congress themes, guidelines for presentations and how to submit an abstract.
