BGCI’s 8th International Congress on Education in Botanic GardensEducation and the Global Strategy for Plant Conservation12-16 November 2012Jardín Botánico del Instituto de Biología de la UNAM, Ciudad de MéxicoCongress website: www.educationcongressmex.unam.mx BGCI’s Education Congress will take place this year in Mexico City and will be hosted by UNAM Botanic Garden, a world renowned institute of excellence in plant conservation, education and ethnobotany. The main focus of the congress is Education and the GSPC. We will examine how gardens can address all 16 targets of the GSPC through education. We will also agree on a common set of messages for plant conservation. The congress will provide a vibrant forum for botanic garden educators as well as for educators and staff from plant science institutes, education and conservation organizations, zoos, museums, national parks and nature reserves.
