The proceedings of BGCI's 7th International Congress on Education in Botanic Gardens held in Durban, South Africa in November 2009 are now available from the BGCI website. The Congress had a number of themes:

• Achieving the Global Strategy for Plant Conservation (GSPC) & Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) through education
  
• The Decade of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD)
  
• Ways of learning towards environmental justice
  
• Climate change and environmental action
