Win 'Free' Design and Consultancy Services
15 December 2010
In 2011, the design and interpretation company, FRLA, is offering to work for free on one botanic garden or arboretum project. Entering is very simple; all you have to do is describe the project you would like FRLA to work on or the problem you would like help solving. The winner will be the organisation who’s entry is the most exciting and achievable within the available budget.
The winner will receive FRLA's time, to a value of £5,000, plus a 50% contribution towards any travel and subsistence costs that FRLA incur while carrying out this work (any additional work needed to fulfill the task, e.g. site surveys, soil analysis, etc. would be undertaken at the winner’s cost).
Who can enter?
The competition is open to botanic gardens and arboretums, worldwide. To be eligible to enter you must work for a botanic garden or arboretum and have the authority to appoint an external contractor, pay costs and agree to cover 50% of subsistence and travel costs.
How to enter?
Write a short description of the problem you would like addressing or the work you would like done and email it to firstname.lastname@example.org. Attachments, such as photographs, plans and diagrams, are welcome. Other accompanying documents, such as reports, can be sent but may not be read in their entirety. The prize will not automatically go to the longest submission, so please be concise. To find out more about FRLA and the services they provide please visit http://www.frla.co.uk/competition/
