Exhibition Programme for China's Botanic Gardens

BGCI has been helping gardens create Exhibitions on Botanic Gardens and Plant Conservation around China since 2003.

The exhibitions have been hosted by different botanic gardens around China and in each case they present plant conservation work conducted by the garden, in the province and internationally.

The Exhibitions aim to highlight:

  • the importance of China's botanic gardens
  • the importance of China's plants in their lives - economically, culturally and aesthetically
  • links between plants and local communities in China
  • the threats faced by plant diversity in China
