Accommodation and other costs

There will be three tiers of lodging. Primary lodging will be at duPlooy's Jungle Lodge, located adjacent to BBG with other accommodations in the town of San Ignacio, 10 miles from the Conference venue. Prices per person Double occupancy and are in US $. For a single room, add 40%. Single rooms will only be available in town as space at duPlooy's is limited. For Triple Rooms, deduct 15%.

Prices include:

• Transfers between Belize City and duPlooy¡¦s (78 miles), or Flores, Guatemala (65 Miles), Transfers between San Ignacio Hotel and BBG - 4 x daily and after evening events,
• Accommodations from Oct. 30, depart Nov. 5.
• Meals and Breaks,
• Activities as per schedule,
• Taxes. All participants will be picked up at either Belize City or Flores on October 30 and returned on November 5. If your arrival or departure are on another day, please arrange private transportation with the organizers. cbgc@belizebotanic.org If you would like to spend time in Belize before or after the conference, we will be glad to assist with your arrangements.

Air Fares

Air Fares can be booked through CBGC, but full payment is required in advance. We are working on special fares and will post these as soon as available. Let us know your travel details and we will assist with arrangements.

Participants may travel to Belize on flights from major centers in the Caribbean and Central America served by Grupo Taca and via American Airlines, US Air, Continental and Delta from the US. It is also possible to reach Belize via Cancun, Mexico. From Cancun, take a bus to Chetumal and let us know so that we can arrange your transfer from there.

Caribbean, US, British and European Citizens may obtain visas as they enter Belize. If you are traveling from another area, please check to see if you will need a visa.
