They are centres of botanical expertise, horticultural knowledge and environmental education and it is their knowledge base that underpins all our actions. A new category ' World Botanic Garden’ has been created for the International Garden Photographer of the Year competition. In return for promoting the competition BGCI will receive 10% of the revenue raised through the entries to the ‘World Botanic Garden category’. 21st April 2008
Showcase your work in plant conservation during the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing this August. A poster exhibition detailing the work of over 100 botanic gardens will be displayed in the Science and Technology Park near the Olympic village. NEPAL

The Centre for Nepal Environmental and Educational Development (CENEED) has been running a three-pronged project for the conservation of biodiversity by environmental education to all types of people. The program came to a conclusion in December 2007 with a ceremony celebrating its achievements. |
