Jardín Botánico Atlántico de Gijón reporting on the Hard Rain exhibition

Hard Rain Exhbition at the Jardín Botánico Atlántico de Gijón

The exhibition was very popular for visitors and press
"It has been a pleasure for us to host the exhibition.  We have had such a huge and grateful response from our city citizens and visitors that we have delayed its removal as much as we could!

"We have had hundreds of visitors coming to see the pictures and to hear the lyrics of Dylan's songs; we have been playing his latest album to complement the panels, so visitors can see the exhibition whilst hearing all his hits!  We also gave the visitors the opportunity to express their feeling and emotions resulting from the exhibition.  They could write and hang their opinions up for others to see, or send them to us via our website.

"There has been a huge amount of press interest from the very beginning.  Bob Dylan and Al Gore have both been named recipients of the Prince of Asturias award 2007, for arts and cooperation respectively, which has helped in the promotion of the exhibition.  We took the opportunity to combine and connect the two recipients as a call for immediate action to stop climate change, against a background of Dylan's foresighted poetry.

"Mark Edwards joined us at the garden for the opening ceremony, conducted by the Major of the City of Gijón, and the President of the Botanical Garden.

"As you can imagine, this has been one of our biggest and most successful items in our latest calendar of activities. We are keen to continue communicating the message of the exhibition through workshops and guided tours in the Botanical Garden, until the second part of the exhibition is avaliable."
