Networking and Information Exchange

Networking is a key part of BGCI's work and we encourage and facilitate the exchange of ideas and information between botanic gardens around the world.

• BGCI regularly organises global congresses for the botanic garden community. These focus on securing plant diversity, promoting plant-based environmental education and enhancing science-based knowledge for the benefit of people and the planet.
  

• We host a global database of the world's botanic gardens, with searchable information about the gardens including contact details and their committment to conservation
  

• We publish articles by and for the botanic gardens community, providing both an outlet and a forum for interaction between gardens
  

• We publish several e-newsletters for different specialist interests in conservation and botanic gardens
  

• We also organise and support many local, national and regional botanic garden networks around the globe
